Identity of woman found dead revealed

EASTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) - The identity of the woman found dead in an Easthampton apartment has been released.
Mary Carey, a spokesperson for the Northwestern DA's office told 22News, 39 year old Jessica Ann Pripstein was found dead at 27 Ward Avenue early Monday morning.
Carey said Pripstein apparently died of a violent assault but the medical examiner's office will determine the official cause of death.
Investigators say the assault was not random, and there is no threat to public safety.
