NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) - A dangerousness hearing will take place Tuesday, for the two suspects allegedly involved in an attack on a nine year-old girl last Thursday.

The incident happened outside the Cutchins Center for Children and Families on Pomeroy Terrace, around 1:00 PM, where the girl was jump roping outside the center. Police say 26 year-old Megan Bonny instructed 34 year-old Lance Gouvan to tie the victim to a tree. Gouvan allegedly dragged the victim by her hair some 20 feet and then tied the jump-rope tightly around her neck and hanged her from the tree.

The girl was able to stand on her toes before she was rescued. Police say a staff member returning to the Center discovered the girl, and immediately identified the suspects, who police were able to locate and arrest within 2 hours.

Fortunately the little girl is okay.

Gouvan and Bonny both entered a "not guilty" plea at their arraignment, Friday.
