HADLEY, Mass. (WWLP) - There are still several secondary roads and sidewalks that haven't been plowed. The U.S. Postal Service says that will make it difficult or impossible for postal workers to deliver mail.
We drove down Rocky Hill Road in Hadley, where the majority of mailboxes were buried in several feet of snow. USPS is asking homeowners to dig out their curbside mailboxes and shovel areas around them; so letter carriers can deliver or collect mail without having to get out of their vehicles.
Some homeowners told us they have yet to find their mailboxes.
“I have this pitiful little sign that I've hung up U.S Mail on an old box for newspaper delivery that I'm hoping the post office take heed of and actually put my mail in when they come,” David Gillham of Amherst told 22News
Although normal collection and delivery resumed today, the USPS says some people still won't get their mail until the roads are clear.
