NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) - Occupy protests are still going on in Northampton. 22News visited Pulaski Park Saturday where people are still camped out in tents and holding general assembly meetings.
Some of those protesters traveled to Boston during the week. 22News asked them if they feel the protests will be weakened now that the Occupy Boston camp has been closed down. "I don't think it means a lot for the movement as a whole, because you can't evict ideas and the ideas are pretty fundamental," said Steve Solomon.
"There's obviously something wrong with our government. We vote but the corporations seem to get their way. The atmosphere is being filled up with CO2 yet the majority are concerned about the environment," said George Aguiar, "there's obviously a disconnect between the people's will and what's happening."
They say their will continue their protests in Northampton as long as they're allowed to.
