NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) - Northampton police are trying to figure out who tried to break into a woman’s home early Wednesday afternoon.
Police Captain Scott Savino told 22News that a woman called 9-1-1 around 12:30pm because she believed a person who had a handgun was trying to break into her Easthampton Road house.
The only the description of the person was that they were wearing a hooded sweatshirt. When police arrived, the intruder was no longer at the house, and it is unclear if they left by walking or driving.
Captain Savino told 22News that no one was hurt and nothing was stolen. He also said that he has not heard of any other similar attempted break-ins in the area.
