Students at Mosier School in South Hadley kept inside due to bobcat sighting

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (WWLP) - A bobcat sighting outside an elementary school in South Hadley caused school officials to keep students indoors on Friday.

Mosier Elementary School Principal Jill Pasquini told 22News that the bobcat was sighted early this morning in conservation land behind the school.

Pasquini said students were kept inside for the entire day while the Environmental Police and Fish and Wildlife officials searched for the animal. The bobcat was not found.

On Sunday, two people in Brookfield when a rabid bobcat attacked them in their home’s garage.
