EASTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) - Easthampton High School students are planning to raise money for Hurricane Sandy disaster relief.
Students and school administrators intend to place collection jars in every classroom next week.
Sarah Sienkiewicz told 22News the disaster personally affected her immediate circle of friends and family. “I talked with some people I know and they were effected greatly, I had a friend who then passed away, her sister passed away during it.”
Sarah and classmate Locklyn Cernak-Mitchell are developing plans for a town wide fundraising walk on December 8th in Easthampton. They plan to give all the money they raise to the Pioneer Valley Red Cross disaster relief programs.
