AMHERST, Mass. (WWLP) - A different sort of half-time program at Wednesday night's UMass/St Joe's Game at the Mullins Center.
More than one hundred men and boys filed onto the court at half-time, joining NorthWestern District Attorney David Sullivan to take the pledge opposing violence against women.
As part of the UMass Amherst White Ribbon Campaign, they promised to never commit, condone or remain silent about men's violence against women.
"I think it's important to show that domestic violence against women isn't okay and it's something that should be done, and needs to be done," said Chris Omasta of Hadley.
Twenty members of the Alpha Tau Gamma Fraternity took the pledge to end violence against women.
District Attorney David Sullivan is a UMass Graduate. This is the third year of the UMass White Ribbon Campaign.
