NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) - Two teenage girls from Northampton were hurt when they were hit by a pickup truck Monday night.
Northampton Police Lt. Michael Patenaude told 22News that the two teens, one 14 and the other 15 years old, ran out in front of the truck on Jackson Street at about 4:45pm this afternoon.
Lt Patenaude said the 15 year old suffered a fractured skull, a broken leg and internal injuries. She's listed in critical condition at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.
The 14 year old suffered a broken rib and a cut on her head, and listed as stable at Baystate.
Lt Patenaude told 22News the Northampton Police Accident Reconstruction Team is looking into the accident. Jackson Street was closed for almost two hours.
One of the victims lives near where they were struck.
The driver has not been charged.
