NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (AP) - Two former employees of a western Massachusetts Walmart are being accused of stealing and reselling more than $9,000 worth of merchandise from the store.
Police say they were alerted by Walmart management, who told them the suspects were seen on video removing thousands of dollars of electronics, clothing and other items from the Northampton store.
Management told police the pair had keys that gave them access to areas of the store they were not authorized to be.
The Daily Hampshire Gazette reports that the pair sold much of the merchandise on Craigslist and at outlets that resell used electronics.
The suspects, 21-year-old Cody Collier Slavis of Huntington and 22-year-old Roberto Roldan of Palmer, pleaded not guilty to larceny charges last week and were released on personal recognizance.
