Water restriction issued for Ware

WARE, Mass. (WWLP) - A water restriction has been issued for the town of Ware.

Emergency Management Director Gary Hoskin told 22News residents are being asked to restrict non-essential water use like sprinklers between the hours of 9 and 5.

The State Department of Environmental Protection issued the alert due to the hot and dry conditions.

Hoskin said he hopes residents will comply with the voluntary restriction to avoid a more stringent ban going forward.

It does not apply to businesses.
