NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) - Fruits and veggies grown right here in Western Massachusetts are always in season no matter what the season.
A winter farmers' market at Smith Vocational High School in Northampton attracted a large and picky crowd Saturday.
They proved that farmers' markets aren't just for the summer months anymore. 22News kept hearing glowing reviews for the produce that grows in the Pioneer Valley.
“My family and I like to support farmers and we also produce raised locally are fresh and taste a bit better,” said Jessica Montagna of Northampton.
“I was here last year, It's wonderful I go to the local one's in Thorne's market and I love fresh local foods,” said Ellie Cook of Northampton.
The winter farmers' market isn't finished taking its show on the road. Western Massachusetts farmers pack up their produce and head north next month. They' hope to attract many shoppers February 5th at Greenfield High School.
