Woman accidentally shoots self in eye

WARE, Mass. (WWLP) - A woman accidentally shot herself in the eye with a BB-gun.

It happened just after 6:30 Saturday night at 14 Lee Road in the town of Ware.

Sgt. Kenneth Kovitch told 22News that police met the woman outside the home.

She was apparently examining the gun, when it accidentally fired right into her eye.

The woman was taken to UMass Medical Center and is expected to live.

The incident is still being investigated.
