Chicopee, Mass. (WWLP) - We're two weeks into the new year and already it's been an active year at the nations capital.

Lawmakers worked to pass a deal on the highly anticipated fiscal cliff just hours after the clock struck midnight on New Years Day and now focus has shifted to the debt ceiling and other important legislation that will impact all of us here in Western Massachusetts.

We'll talk to Congressman Richard Neal about what it all means and how it will impact us.

We'll also talk about our local economy and jobs numbers with the manager of FutureWorks Career Center in Springfield. He'll tell us how you can help yourself land a job this new year.

We'll also hear from a financial expert from Springfield Partners for Community Action about making smart financial decisions this year.
