22News inFocus: the Health Care Law

What it means for you and your family

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - Earlier this month the Supreme Court voted to uphold the key points of the President's Health Care Law, known to some as Obamacare. Here in Massachusetts, health insurance has been mandatory since 2006, when it was put in place by then governor Mitt Romney.

The Bay State is the only state where health insurance is already mandatory, so we're in a unique position. This week on 22News inFocus we'll discuss what the new law means for us here in Massachusetts.

We'll talk about what changes you'll see, what will stay the same, and how this sweeping new federal law will impact your life.

We'll discuss every angle of the law and its potential impact on the upcoming election season. You'll hear from Congressman Richard Neal, a representative from Western Mass Republicans, and a local economist.

We'll also talk to a Doctor about what this law will mean hospitals, their employees, and their patients.

Don't miss 22News inFocus this Sunday at noon.
