(WWLP) - Following the 2010 Census, Massachusetts lost one of its ten seats in Congress. With the districts being re-drawn, the seat currently held by Congressman James McGovern (D-Worcester) now incorporates eastern portions of Franklin and Hampshire Counties.
McGovern, who was first elected to Congress in 1996, is seeking re-election to represent the new 2nd Congressional District. He is being challenged for the Democratic nomination by William Feegbeh of Worcester, who previously ran for Mayor of Boston and for State Senate in the Boston area.
On 22News inFocus on Sunday, September 2, the two candidates discussed issues like the war in Afghanistan, affordable housing, farming policy, money in politics, education, jobs, and Medicare.
