Latino businesses honored in Spfld

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Local Latinos were honored for their achievements in business and politics Wednesday.

The Massachusetts Latino Chamber of Commerce hosted an event at the Essence Restaurant in Springfield Wednesday night to recognize these individuals for their success.

Chamber President Carlos Gonzalez told 22News, the honorees are role models for local Latino youths. "This is an opportunity for our young folks too say if they can do it, I can do it. We hope that these role models will serve as an inspiration to our young folks to do the same."

The businesses honored included a number of local Latino restaurants, law offices and dental practices.
