New resource features local businesses

Western Massachusetts shoppers now have a resource to turn to if they want to buy local.

Dozens of local merchants and businesspeople gathered at the Northampton Brewery in Northampton Monday night to launch the “Pioneer Valley Local Business Guide”.

20,000 copies of the guide will be distributed throughout Hampden, Hampshire and Franklin Counties.

The guide lists more than 220 Pioneer Valley-based locally-owned businesses and non-profits.

The guide is available in both paper format, and online.
