Legislation is pending in the Bay State over legalizing medicinal marijuana.

The bill is modeled after a Rhode Island law that's been in effect since 2006.

A recent Suffolk University poll found that 81% of Massachusetts voters support medical marijuana legislation.

On Monday, the Justice Department said it will no longer enforce federal drug laws against people who use marijuana for medical reasons, as long as they follow state laws.
