SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Friday a Springfield woman received a makeover to her home, which was becoming an eye sore on the block.

83-year old Hellen Gresham has lived at 48 Olive Street in Springfield for many years, but she is bound a wheel chair, and can’t afford to make the improvements to her home.

The program Rebuilding Together Springfield picked Gresham's house for a makeover.

Volunteers from Six Flags helped spruce up Gresham's yard and revitalize the property, which was becoming dilapidated.

Rebuilding Together Springfield is a nonprofit organization that helps low income homeowners keep up their property and take pride in their neighborhood.
