NEW SALEM, Mass. (WWLP) - One person is dead and another seriously injured when the
motorcycle they were riding slammed into the back of another
vehicle in New Salem on Saturday.
According to a news release from Massachusetts State Police,
Robert Russell and Lisa Cardillo, both of Charlton, were on a
Harley Davidson motorcycle on Route 202 when it struck the back of
a Jeep Wrangler that was stopped in traffic.
Cardillo, the passenger, was ejected, landed in the middle of
Route 202 and was struck by a car. She was pronounced dead at the
scene.
Russell, the driver of the motorcycle, was struck by the same
car. He was flown by helicopter to UMass Medical Center in
Worcester. His condition is unknown at this time.
The driver of the car, 21 year-old David Feinberg of
Wilbraham, was not injured in the accident and has not been
charged.
