CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - There is no tolerance for bullying at Chicopee Comprehensive
High School.
The schools resource officer says they crackdown on the
behavior immediately.
Preparation starts freshmen year, students are told what
bullying is, how it impacts their peers, and how to address it if
they are the victim.
Joe Morissette the schools Resource officer says” We make sure we understand where it's coming from and what it is and we address it as a one on one issue”.
The mediation process allows the students with a conflict to confront one another while their peers weigh in.
A strategy that has become an effective way to stop bullying
before it gets out of hand.
But students say bullying happens no matter what.
But if students continue to violate the rules, they can face
serious disciplinary action.
