HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - The first day of spring vacation had families enjoying the flying horses and hands-on learning activities in Holyoke.
The Holyoke Merry-Go-Round at Holyoke's Heritage State Park was filled with the sounds of carousel music. Across the green, more activities at the Holyoke Children's Museum. Kids of all ages made crafts, blew giant bubbles and learned about how water systems work.
Parents said it's a great way to get the kids out of the house for some fun on a cloudy day.
One hour science workshops for elementary aged children will be held daily at 2 p.m. for an additional $2 fee. The museum is open daily from 10-4pm. The Merry-Go-Round is open from 12-4p.m.
