SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Concerned Springfield residents  found out just how much clout the Massachusetts Labor department can wield.

All the top labor department experts converged in Springfield for an information fair.  Information for example for one Springfield man, who described himself as being injured at work.  He told 22News that he "fears his boss would fire him If he complains too much."

But Art Pennesi of the Labor departments occupational health division told the worried worker, "He's protected under the laws of OSHA."  Another man, who represents career schools such as Branford Hall in Springfield, wondered If these schools teach the kind courses that mean jobs when the students graduate.

Dave Sanford told 22News, "He learned that the schools are right on target by helping turn out  high level medical technicians  in the field of radiology just to name one."
