Iraq war veteran dies while swimming

MILTON, Mass. (WWLP) - An Iraq war veteran has died after hitting his head on rocks while swimming at a Quincy quarry.

Norfolk District Attorney William Keating says 21-year-old Patrick Coughlin's body was recovered just after six yesterday morning.

Coughlin was going to be a sophomore at UMass Amherst.

The Milton man and three friends were swimming near the Granite Links Golf Course.

Keating's office said that preliminary autopsy results showed nothing suspicious.
