WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Westfield Fire Department Deputy Chief Patrick Kane told 22News that two non-toxic chemicals came in contact and created a loud explosion. The building is located at 68 North Elm Street in Westfield.
There was no fire, but the building quickly filled with dust created by the explosion. Employees were evacuated and were able to return to work after being cleared by the fire department.
There were no injuries reported.
