HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - Holyoke City Hall was closed today in an effort to provide better service.

City hall employees took part in the sixth annual Professional Development program at Holyoke Community College.

The initiative focuses on the sharing of new ideas, communication skills and training on shared computer programs.

Employees and department heads also have the opportunity to meet as a group to discuss issues, especially in dealing with the public.

One-hundred and fifteen employees took part in the program.

It costs about 14-thousand dollars and is paid for by the city as part of employee training.
