Springfield Technical Community College is one of five bay state community colleges taking part in a special joint venture with a leader in the private business world.
STCC announced today it is partnering with Associated Industries of Massachusetts.
Associated Industries or AIM is the largest employers association in Massachusetts.
It will be offering supervisory, human resources and customer service courses at STCC and it's other partner community colleges throughout the Bay state.
Local employers say it's important to have workers with the right skills.
There's an awful lot of willing employees in the community, but they don't have the skills that we need at least in our business.
AIM will offer a total of 135 business courses beginning this fall at STCC.
