Head-on collision in Hadley injures 2

HADLEY, Mass. (WWLP) - A head-on collision in Hadley injured two people and forced the road to be shut down for hours.

Hadley Police Officer Mitch Cook told 22News the crash happened on Bay Road around 10:00 a.m.

Both drivers were injured in the crash and both were taken to Baystate Medial Center -- one by LifeFlight helicopter, the other by ambulance. There is no word yet on their conditions.

Officer Cook said Bay Road was shut down for about three hours while police investigated the crash, but the road has since reopened.
