Americorps serves local organizations

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - One non-profit organization is helping the local community during these tough economic times. Vista held a community agency fair Friday at the New England Farm Workers' Council in Holyoke.

The Americorps Vista Program serves local organizations geared toward providing resources and aid to people in the community. "To build hope people live in these neighborhoods need to know there are organizations out there that are really concerned about their neeeds," said Jerry Posey, Vista Member.

The Americorps Vista members serve for one year in an assigned agency through the New England Farm Workers' Council.
