HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - It used to be the second largest consumer electronics retailer
in the nation but it's lights out for the Circuit City in Holyoke.
After 60 years, 567 stores nationwide closed its doors wiping
out more than 34-thousand jobs Sunday.
The company tried but failed to find a buyer after filing for
chapter eleven bankruptcy protection last year.
No word yet on who might rent the now vacant space at Holyoke
Crossing.
