SOUTHWICK, Mass. (WWLP) - On Sunday dozens of people from Southwick and Granville gathered
Sunday for the annual CROP Hunger Walk down Rt. 57 in Southwick.
The CROP Hunger Walks help children and families all across
the world and in western Massachusetts fight hunger.
The
Church
World Service Project, who sponsors the event, work together
with many area churches such as the Southwick Congregational
Church.
One longtime participant told 22News, these fund raisers
become a family tradition. "My entire family has been doing this
for 20 years actually 20 years. I got involved it, when I met my
wife, It's been something I've been doing for ten years," said Mike
Daniels of Westfield.
The majority of the western Massachusetts hunger fighting
CROP walks are scheduled for next October.
