Explosion causes small basement fire

It was a scary situation for one Longmeadow family when a fire broke out in their basement overnight.

Firefighters from both Longmeadow and East Longmeadow responded to this single family home on White Oak Drive around 1 a.m.

The homeowners told 22News they're dehumidifier exploded causing a small fire and heavy smoke in the basement.

Everyone got out of the home safely without injuries.
