NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) - Whenever there is an unattended death, detectives have to treat
it like a possible criminal case. So far, police say there is no
reason to believe that is what is going on in Northampton.
Friday Northampton investigators are looking into yet another
body found. This one was located in the Meadows section of the
city.
Northampton Police Lt. Ken Watson told 22News it was a
50-year-old man named Arthur Polier who was found deceased in a
tent at around ten in the morning.
To recap on the 3 other bodies found in Northampton: On May
9th, 55-year-old Gary Schack was discovered in the Mill River. One
day later on May 10th, 36-year-old Michael Mikaluna was found in
the Twin Ponds area, or more specifically Rococo Pond. Then on May
24th, 45-year-old Richard Hale ended up in a swampy area near
Barrett St.
Northampton Sgt. Judy Kasper tells 22News there's no
indication that there was foul play involved in any of these cases.
Sgt. Kasper says it also appears there is no link connecting
any of the four bodies that were discovered.
