WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Apparently Western Massachusetts have saved money during the first year of the "Managed Competition" auto insurance system.
Bill Trudeau of the Insurance center of New England in West Springfield, told 22News, "Essentially the independent agents now have more options for their customers". The companies that have been selling auto insurance in Massachusetts for years have taken a hard look at their rates and improved many of them".
None of the drivers 22News spoke with take issue with the new system. Ron Carroll of West Springfield told 22News, "The new system probably saved him one hundred dollars". Cynthia Gorman of Agawam told 22News, "She saved money by sticking with the company that's been insuring her cars for the past twenty years".
