SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Members of the group Springfield Forward attended Thursday's Finance Control Board meeting.
They made their voices heard during the public speak-out portion of the meeting.
The group wants the city to build the new Forest Park Middle School at the former site of the condemned Longhill Gardens Apartments.
They oppose the building of a low-income housing project there once again.
Springfield Forward member George Pappas told 22News that
building a school would save the city money and would create much
needed jobs.
