HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - A Holyoke businessman reportedly led a double life as a major player in the trafficking.of cocaine and heroin.
In a news release, Holyoke police chief Anthony Scott said that 48 year old Ramon Pineda of 775 High Street was arrested Friday and charged with possession of Class A, trafficking cocaine, possession to distribute Class A and drug violation within 100 feet of a school or park. Pineda allegedly distributed large quantities of cocaine and heroin throughout Holyoke and surrounding communities.
Pineda is also apparently the owner of Alcon Auto Parts of the same address.
According to Chief Scott, a garage on Commercial Street housed quite a lot of cocaine and heroin inside the trunk of a BMW. Scott promised to notify the IRS to check out Pineda's income as it relates to drug trafficking.
