Family left homeless after Palmer blaze

Reported fire in the Bondsville section

PALMER, Mass. (WWLP) - At around 4:00pm Saturday, the Palmer Fire Department responded to the scene of a reported house fire in the Bondsville section of the town.

Palmer Fire Chief Allen Roy told 22News that a family is now homeless as a result of the blaze. The family lived in the home since 1963.

22News was told that everyone made it out of the home safely, but as many as 4 family pets died inside the house.

Upon driving to the scene the 22News crew phoned the station to report that smoke could be seen, even from the Mass. turnpike.
