HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - A former Holyoke elementary school teacher has been indicted on six counts of statutory rape.
Hampden County Superior Court Assistant Clerk Kevin Claffey told 22News that a Hampden County Superior Court Grand Jury on Wednesday returned the multiple count indictment on 24-year old Lisa Lavoie.
The charges are for 6 counts of statutory rape and 1 count of enticing a minor.
Lavoie, a former teacher at the Maurice Donahue Elementary School, disappeared with a 15-year old male student back in February right before school vacation. They were found together a week later in a Morgantown, West Virginia hotel.
Lavoie has been free after her family posted $25,000 bail.
No arraignment date has been set yet in regard to these charges.
