Local woman celebrates 100th birthday

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (WWLP) - On Saturday Bella St. Sauveur of South Hadley celebrated her 100th birthday. Bella told 22News that 40 years ago in 1969 22News had helped celebrate her mother's 100th birthday.

This clear minded one hundred year old recalls her youth as if it was just yesterday. "We had a dress shop on Lyman Street in the flats of Holyoke, it was called the three sisters," said Bella.

Bella's eye doctor, Dr. Robert Donahue, who also there to help celebrate Bella's mother's 100th birthday back in 1969, made sure to be there for Bella on Saturday to help her celebrate her 100th birthday as well.
