SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Today at the Mass Mutual Center hundreds of real estate investors and developers gathered to discuss key investment opportunities in the city of Springfield.
At the conference, Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno announced a new private agency called Develop Springfield, which will help businesses and property owners fund exterior improvements.
One million dollars in grants are available to fund storefront improvements along state and Main Street.
The conference pointed out some of the incentives for developing here in Springfield.
Eligible businesses could receive grants up to 10,000 dollars to improve the exterior appearance of their buildings.
The goal of this corridor storefront improvement program is to
stimulate economic growth and speed up the revitalization process
in the city of Springfield.
