LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WWLP) - A Longmeadow driver thanks her lucky stars every time she goes through the intersection of Williams Street and Dwight Road without getting into an accident.
22News staked out the intersection and it didn't take long before we captured on video why Patti Bassell calls this a Mean Street zone.
Many cars and trucks disregarded the 35 mile an hour speed limit.
She had also complained about drivers being in such a hurry, they routinely ignored the red light.
"When the light turns green, I don't go right away. I look to make sure that no one's coming, you just don't know. It really is scary. They just go through the red light like it's green, and they don't care," said Patti Bassell of Longmeadow.
Bassell told 22News, she feels a sense of terror every time she travels through that mean streets intersection.
