GREENFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - A proposed biomass plant in Greenfield is not definite, as
next-door neighbors are threatening to end the project.
David Cunningham runs Applied Dyamics, a business that sells
and services electrical motors, and plans to go to court to block
the biomass facility that would be next door.
Cunningham says the condensation from the hundreds of
thousands of gallons of water the biomass plant needs would damage
his operation.
"We deal with electronics and a lot of electrical equipment,
and we have difficulty keeping them test ready accurate because of
the humidity in the air. And this is just going to add to the
problem," said Cunningham.
Cunningham hopes his attempts to block the biomass plant
could carry some weight.
He told 22News he has put his own expansion plans of doubling
his work force of 50 on hold.
