CUMMINGTON, Mass. (WWLP) - The Cummington Fairgrounds played host on Saturday to the 3rd annual Hilltown Spring Festival.
The event attracted crowds of people to the fairground's first major event of the season. One resident of Franklin county told 22News, he came out to renew a tradition that he let go of for a few years.
"It's the first time in 30 odd years since I've been here, I used to live in Chesterfield when I'd come here every year to the Cummington fair," said Bill McDoald of Whately.
McDoald told 22News he came for the music and that after re-acquainting himself with the charm of the fairgrounds, he just might return in the fall for the landmark Cummington fair.
