HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - Five men are under arrest after taking police on a car chase
through three cities.
Massachusetts State Police Sgt. Alan Joubert told 22News the
barracks received multiple calls around 7:30 Thursday night about
two cars firing shots at each other on East Street in Chicopee. The
cars were also seen ramming each other.
When officers arrived, the two vehicles fled, leading police
on a chase through Chicopee, West Springfield and Holyoke.
The chase ended on Route 5 South in Holyoke in front of the
Stop & Shop Plaza.
Police arrested Arthur Zawadski and Demitry Kothat, both of
Chicopee, Louis Santiago of Springfield, Johnathan Murray of Indian
Orchard, and Chad Fraga of Ludlow.
All are facing multiple charges including assault and battery
with a deadly weapon (which is the vehicle) and armed robbery.
No weapons were recovered. There were no reports of
injuries.
