EASTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) - Friends, family and strangers came together in Easthampton to
remember a life lost to an all too common eating disorder.
The 8th annual Run-Walk for Tara stepped off at the Galbraith
Fields for a 3 mile fundraiser.
About 200 participants helped raise nearly 10-thousand
dollars.
The event is named after Tara Sheehan, who would have been 33
Wednesday, but died after a battle with anorexia 7 years ago.
To date the event has helped raise 44-thousand dollars.
If you know someone who needs help battling an eating
disorder, contact the Walden Center in Northampton where the
proceeds of the event go.
