SUFFIELD, Conn. (WWLP) - A Suffield, Connecticut family whose home got an extreme makeover on national television were singing the praises of being a blood donor.
The Hill Family Choir, as they’re known, sang as people rolled up their sleeves at a blood drive at the Suffield Middle School.
The American Red Cross held the blood drive in honor of the Hill Family; and the family of 13 encouraged people to give.
“If you just take a few minutes to come out and donate the gift of blood, it will change, it will save someone's life and you will feel the way you're supposed to feel, like a sharing loving world,” said Catherine Hill of Suffield.
An interesting fact for anyone considering being a blood donor: one donation of blood can help to save up to three lives.
