(WWLP) - With the fate of Shriner's Hospital in Springfield still in the air, one area business is stepping up by holding a raffle fund raiser.
From May 21st until June 1st, donations made at Springfield and Berkshire-area Sleepy's Mattress stores will receive raffle tickets. Three winners will receive a Memory foam pillow, and the grand prize winner will be awarded “The Ultimate Sleep Package,” which includes two Tempur-pedic pillows and a set of 600 thread count sheets.
Sleepy’s goal is to raise $5,000 and boost awareness for the foundation.
The Shriner's Hospital in Springfield is one of six branches across the country recommended for closure due to a struggling economy and decline in overall donations. The final decision is set to be in July.
