Summer sizzle or summer fizzle?

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Where's summer already? Thats the question on everybody's mind with the official start less than three days away. But the constant rainy days have the season off to a soggy start.

This was the NOT so optimistic view from Springfield tonight. Rain slicked roads and kind of chilly temperatures too was enough to dampen the spirit of even the most hardy New Englander.

"Oh let me tell ya I love New England, I just wanna dial 1-800-God stop the rain or 1-800 Mother nature ya know please give us a break," said Tony Mascolo of New Britain Connecticut.

Today, temperatures only climbed into the 60's, the average temperature for around this time of year is about 80-degrees.
