SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (WWLP) - A house fire in South Hadley sent two people to the hospital
Wednesday night.
South Hadley Deputy Fire Chief Tim Loftus told 22News it
appears the fire started outside on a first floor porch and spread
to the interior of 20 Tampa Street at about 7:40 Wednesday night.
It took about 35 minutes to get the flames under control.
Deputy Chief Loftus said the cause is undetermined, and that
the State Fire Marshall is assisting in the investigation.
At least three people are temporarily homeless because of the
fire -- a father, a mother, and their 12 year-old daughter. The
father and his daughter suffered minor burns and were taken
Baystate Medical Center.
